The IT sector will continue to dominate this region’s growth story. Mixed development has been widespread around here and there has been a surge in demand in the Whitefield area. The industries functioning out of here include IT, BT, ITeS, service, manufacturing and realty.

Ancillary units catering to automobile and capital goods have also seen growth. From a sleepy suburb to one of the fastest growing regions with several medium and large-scale industries, the area has grown from beyond the ambit of public sector giants such as HAL, BEML, ITI and NGEF which were once the mainstay here.
